We were a team of 13 people who visited Kangding, Danba and Ma'erkang with 3rdpoletour.com. Our travel advisor who arranged the tour for our team was very efficient and our trip leader Alex was a very profissional and experienced guide to western Sichuan province. We really had a great time in Kangding and Danba.

May is a good time to visit our destination, and we did not only enjoy the natural beauty of Kangding, Danba, and Mugecuo Lake, but also experienced the local culture of the Tibetans and the Qiang people who lived there.

Leon was very helpful to arrange a day volunteering for us and July, our travel guide was excellent. They took care of every little thing in our tour.

The panda volunteer job started in the morning. We cleaned up the panda poo, and sweeped out the enclosures.Though it was really tired, we did enjoyed it. It truely required a little physical work. There were also small buses to take you from place to place. We ate lunch with the staff and watched a film about Giant Pandas. Then we learnt to make panda cakes and fed our pandas. We would like to recommended to panda volunteer job in Dujiangyan Panda Valley to all of our friends.

We visited the Panda Base in Chengdu with Summer from 3rdpole tour. She is a kind hearted guide and very knowledgeable. We arrived in the panda base in the morning, when the pandas were quite active. It was great to get close to see so many pandas.

After visiting the panda base, we were go to the Leshan Giant Buddha. We took the boat trip to have a good view of the whole Giant Buddha. Also, it was an easy way to see the buddha and avoide the crowdes on the steps.

Our tour arranded by Leon, our personal travel advisor from 3rdpole tour. He always gave us a quick responce and took care of everything in our tour. Thanks to Leon and Summer, as well as all the staffs in 3rdpole tour, who made our trip quite enjoyable.

I had a one day tour in Dujiangyan Panda Base where I took a panda volunteer job. It was said that visitors could only hug a panda in this Panda Base.

I traveled the Dujiangyan Giant Panda Base with 3rdpoletour.com in Aprial, 2016. It could be a lifetime memory that I just hug the lovely panda for a seconds. Though I just spent half day in the panda base and visit the Wuhou Temple and Jinli Street in the afternoon, I really got what I wanted to experience during the tour.

We just flied back home from our trip in China this Monday, but not a day has passed without us thinking of our wonderful trip. We reserved a eight-day trip to visit Seda and Siguniang Mountain in Sichuan last December, and started this trip in this March. It was perfect from beginning to end. The food was always delicious, the hotels were lovely, the driver was strong and friendly, and the car was comfortable and safe.

Especially, Our travel advisor Carrie answered our questions promptly and arranged our itineraries, our hotels, our tour guide and our meals according to our needs. Our tour guide Tom was an excellent guide, flexible and available to deal with the real situation with our guide. When strolling at Wuming Buddhist Academy, he guided us in and around. We learned a lot about Tibetan Buddhism cultures from him. Thank you and everyone else who helped for making it so special.

We ( two my friends and I ) spent a couple of days in Chengdu and surroundings in March, 2015. We used 3rdpole to organize our private tour: two days in Chengdu to experience the history and culture of Sichuan and see the cute Pandas in Chengdu Panda Base; one day to see the Leshan Buddha which was the highlight of our trip; one day to hike the Mount Emei and then four days to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong where we visit many multi-color ponds and lakes, and they are amazing.

I communicated with Carrie, my personal travel advisor of 3rdpoletour, via email and she was efficient in getting our plans established and confirmed. Finally, I paid for the deposit of our trip through Paypal, which is very dependable.

My family and I were very pleased with the tour organised by Carrie, our personal travel advisor for our eight days trip from Northern Sichuan to Southern Gansu plus six days silk road trip from Lanzhou to Dunhuang. It was our third time in China, so, we wanted to have an in-depth exploration in Western China, and we found this agency - 3rdpole tour, based in Chengdu. Our trip let us know why 3rdpoletour is so strong in western China; and I looked forward to our doing more trips together in the future.

The entire trip was amazing, reasonable and flexible. Our guides were really kind and funny, and they prepared very well and guided us to see lot of interesting sites. All our hotels in Chengdu, Jiuzhaigou, Lanzhou and Duhuang were comfortable and clean. Our private SUV car were brand new and safe. I started to contact with Carrie on Jan. 25th for the customization of our family's private Yunnan trip via email, and Carrie firstly responded to me promptly with a brief itinerary and general price. I felt that the itinerary met our interests and time, and the price was also reasonable. So I altered our itinerary with Carrie in the next emails, and on Feb. 1st I got the specific itinerary and exact price. It is amazing for us to confirm our itinerary in such a short time. From Feb. 25 to March 8th, my family and I were in Yunnan and visited Kunming, Yuanyang, Dali, Lijiang and Shangri-La. Our guide and driver were experienced and very accommodating. Arrangements for hotel and meals were all on schedule, and we really enjoyed our trip so much that we hope we would contact them for our China trip in next year.

In early February, 2015, we had a 12 days in China: two days in Chengdu, two days train to Lhasa from Chengdu and eight days Lhasa to EBC exploration. Thanks to 3rdpole Tour that organized our everything in time. We contacted with them in the middle January, and Carrie, our trip consultant, has been very flexible, available, reliable and efficient to arrange our trip and prompt to apply for our Tibet Travel Permit in advance. From her, we knew about Tibet would be closed from the end of February to the early April, and although it was so cold in early February, we shifted to an earlier mouth due to our irrepressible dream to Tibet so long time. Our tour guides in Chengdu and Tibet were of great knowledge, patience and kindness. We had an unforgettable travel experience with 3rdpole tour and her staffs. In late January and early February, my son and I had a trip to Lhasa from Xining due to the hard work of 3rdpole tour.

Carrie was our personal travel advisor who helped us from my first email contact. She was always so responsive to my emails and enthusiastically discussed our complicated travel requests with me many times before our trip, giving suggestions and changing things, where she could, to suit our requirements. In order to acclimatize the high altitude, we flied from Beijing to Xining and then took the train from Xining to Lhasa, where we stayed for three days to explore Lhase city. A little disappointed point is that we can not go to Namtso Lake due to the cold weather and icy road. Our tour guide, Tashi, was friendly and informative. He made sure we were all happy and kept us well informed about each day’s itinerary and explained some Buddhism histories and cultures. The hotel in Lhasa was all fine, better than that we expected. A short description of our tour: after a couple of days in Chengdu, Leshan and Emei Shan, we went for a hike from Changping Valley to Bipeng Valley in Siguniang Shan. Overall, we were highly satisfied with the tour organized by Carrie, our personal travel advisor in 3rdpole tour. Everything worked out as expected and we could enjoy the tour after we arrived at Chengdu airport.

Before the beginning of the tour, we were pleased to get quick replies on our mails from Carrie. She is very professional to design the itinerary every day and arrange private SUV car and hotels. During the hiking tour, our trip leader was simply amazing. Not only was he very friendly, respectful and outdoors knowledgeable, but he solved any kind of problem that would arise on the mountain. He made sure our daily hiking quite smoothly. Although it was very cold for camping two nights in the Valleys, two nights were so clear that we see the amazing starry sky of highland. I want to take a minute to say thank you to the wonderful staffs we had on our trips. Especially, our travel advisor Carrie was really patient and fast to solve our questions and arrange our trips according to our plans. Our tour guide Tom also did the excellent work with his explanation and suggestions. He explained many stories and jokes about Sichuan cultures. We learned many interesting things from him.

My wife and I spent seven days visiting Chengdu and Jiuzhaigou. We started our trip by visiting the Giant Panda in Chengdu Panda Breeding Base, then had a very good lunch at a local eatery; had the next two days to see the Giant Buddha in Leshan and toured the temples and Gold Summit of Mt. Emei; then next four days drive to visit Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong where the waters were amazing with different colors, and we had never seen so many colors of water in a pond. I am truly happy to recommend 3rdpoletour and tour guide Tom.
