Lhasa Attractions
Potala Palace
As the top must-see attractions in Lhasa, Potala Palace is the highest palace in the world and one of the most famous architectural works in the world. Located at an altitude of 3700m on the top of a rocky Red Hill, it is the navigation light in the snow-covered plateau guiding all the pilgrims.
Jokhang Temple
As the spiritual heart of Tibet, Jokhang Temple is a four-storey wooden complex with roofs covered with gilded bronze tiles. Tibetan people from all over the world come here to kowtow in the front of the entrance with their pure heart. Pilgrims come and go, the butter lamp never extinguish.
Barkhor Street

Drepung Monastery

Sera Monastery

Norbulingka Palace
It was used as the summer palace for successive Lamas holding festival celebrations. As the largest and grandest gardens in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, it covers an area of 360,000 square meters. The delicate buildings and graceful atmosphere attract many tourists to visit.
Namtso Lake
It is considered one of the three sacred lakes of Tibet and famous for its high altitude, vast area and beautiful scenery. The water is coming from the snow mountain, which makes it more crystal and clear.

Mount Kailash
Mount Kailash, or Gang Rinproche, is the highest peak in the Gangdise Mountains with the highest peak over 6,700 meters. Mansarovar Lake

Mount Everest Base Camp

Rongbuk Monastery

Yamdrok Lake
As one of the holy lakes in Tibet, Yamdrok Lake, also known as “Yamdrok Yumtso”, is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and fed by numerous small Himalayan streams. It is praised as the most beautiful lake in the world.
Samye Monastery
It is known as the first temple to be built in Tibet in the 8th century in order to spread Buddhism. The whole construction in Samye Monastery is built according to the universe described in the sutras.
Yumbulakang Palace
It was the oldest building in Tibet as a palace for the leaders. It has a small scale, but it stands on the peak of the mountain, which makes it more spectacular.
