1. How Can I Obtain a Tibet Travel Permit?

When you contact with our travel expert, our travel expert will help you to arrange your Tibet tour. Once you book a Tibet tour with us, we can apply for a Tibet Travel Permit for you through Tibet Tourist Bureau as long as you offer us a scanned copy of your passport and other documents required.

After your Tibet Travel Permit is issued, we will send it to the hotel of your departure city so that you can directly take a flight or a train to Lhasa from the city you are in with your passport and your Tibet Travel Permit.

2. How Far in Advance Should I apply for My Permit? And How Many Days Can I Get My Permit?

In general, it takes 12 working days to approve the Tibet Travel Permit and about another 3 days to send it to the place where you are in China. Therefore, it is recommended for you to offer your passport and other required documents at least 20 days in advance of your departure date.

We will submit your documents to Tibet Tourist Bureau as soon as we receive all the required information and documents from you. So, the earlier you provide us with the required documents for Tibet Travel Permit, the earlier we can queue to apply for your Tibet Travel Permit issued.

But, it is noted that your Tibet Travel Permit will be released to us only about 7 days ahead of your departure time. We will deliver your Tibet Travel Permit to your address in China as soon as we receive it from the Travel Bureau.
