This is our special-designed tour for tourists to enjoy the yellow rapeseed flowers blooming in Luoping in spring, especially in the months of February and March. Located at the east of Yunnan Province, Luoping is the best place to see the golden sea of Canola flowers with pretty karst hills. Recently, it becomes more and more popular among photographers from home and abroad. Also, you will visit the famous Stone Forest on the way back to Kunming.

Day 1: Kunming Arrival

Upon your arrival at the Kunming Changshui International Airport, our tour guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel in Kunming. After settling down your luggage and a short rest, you will start your tour in Kunming.

If your time permits, you can visit the Kunming City Museum, where you can have the chance to learn more about Kunming city as well as Yunnan Province.

Option for the Evening:
Dynamic Yunnan Show is an original ethnic dance musical that directed by Yang Liping. You can get a unique “Yunnan Impression” from the show, which is a combination of folk dances and a fresh artistic concept. The show starts at 20:00 every day (except at and around the Spring Festival) and lasts for 1.5 hours.

Day 2: Kunming - Luoping

Enjoy the Sunset at Hundred Thousand Hills in Luoping, Yunnan

After breakfast, you will head to Luoping, one of the largest plantations of canola flowers in southwest China. It is located 230 kilometers east of Kunming, and neighboring Guizhou Province and Guangxi Province. Every year, during the spring when canola flowers are blooming, there is an endless golden sea of yellow rapeseed flowers with small basins among mountain ranges. The golden sea of canola flowers together with chocolate hills makes Luoping a paradise for photographers. And the best time to see the golden canola flowers in Luoping is from February to March, when the flowers are in full bloom.

Then you will move on to Hundred Thousand Hills (called Shiwan Dashan in Chinese), which offers endless photo shooting options for photography enthusiasts.

After today’s tour, you will be back at your hotel in Luoping in the late afternoon.

Day 3: Luoping

Enjoy the Golden Sea of Canola Flowers from Jinjiling Hill in Luoping

Nine Dragon Waterfall in Luoping

Today, you will get up early in the morning to see the sunrise over Jinjiling Hill, which is the best place to witness the fields of yellow canola flowers with karst hills in north-south direction. The hills are just like small islands in the golden sea.

Then, you will visit Lingyi Temple on the Jinjiling Hill for another sightseeing part of today.

You will have breakfast afterwards and head to the Nine Dragon Waterfall that located within an hour’s drive from Luoping. Nine Dragon Waterfall (also called as Jiulong Waterful) is one of the largest and most beautiful waterfalls in China with ten tiers. You can either take a cable car or hike up to hill to reach a viewing platform where you can enjoy a great view of valley and the waterfall.

After the tour, you will get back to Luoping.

Day 4: Luoping - Stone Forest - Kunming

After breakfast, we will drive back to Kunming. Before arriving in Kunming, you will visit Stone Forest en route. We will arrive at Stone Forest Scenic Area after lunch. The Stone Forest in Yunnan is vast in area with lots of towering stones with peculiar shapes, creating a picture of stone world. The Stone Forest Scenic Area covers an area of 1,460 square kilometers in total and the Karst Stone Forest has been formed 500,000 to 300 million years ago. You can enjoy the marvelous landscape of stones in different shapes.

After visiting the Stone Forest, we will drive back to Kunming.

Day 5: Kunming Departure

Itinerary Alteration

Once we receive your tour deposit, which is followed by signing the contract, your reservation is secured with legitimacy. Our staff will reserve the accommodation, vehicle, site tickets, meals and more, and pay the deposit for our suppliers. So if you want to alter to another itinerary, you need to cover the deposit we've paid, while no service charge is needed if you make some changes on the itinerary you booked.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

If you cancel the tour beacuse of your personal issues, you will be liable to pay cancellation charges that are bounded by 3rdpoletour.com cancellation policy as follows:

1.) If you cancel the tour more than 30 days before the trip starts, you will forfeit 10% of the total land cost per person;
2.) If you cancel the tour 15-30 days prior to your trip start date, 20% of your total land tour cost will be forfeited as a cancellation fee.
3.) If you cancel the tour 7-15 days before the trip starts, you will forfeit 30% of land cost.
4.) If you cancel the tour 7 days prior to your tour start date, you will forfeit 50% of land cost.
5.) If you fail to show up or cancel at your scheduled arrival time without prior notice or later than that, you will forfeit 100% of the land cost.

If the tour has to be cancelled because of the natural disaster or the government restrictions that is beyond both parties control, we will charge only USD50 per person, this is just the service fee and larbor fee during the preparation. This is a rare occurrence!
