8 Days Singapore Chengdu Songpan Jiuzhaigou Ruoergai Hongyuan Tour

In the morning, our tour guide & driver will pick you up from your hotel in Chengdu, and then drive about 6 hours to Songpan. On the way, we will have a short stop by the 2008 earthquake memorial site in Yingxiu town. Then pass through Wenchuan and stop in Maoxian to visit the Baishi Qiang Village, the largest cultural center of Qiang ethnic minority. We will also stop by the Diexi Lake, which is a landslide dam-created lake formed in the 1933 Diexi earthquake. Upon your arrival at Songpan, check in a local hotel there. The rest of day is your time to explore Songpan Ancient Town.

Today, we will drive to visit Huanglong National Park, where densely scatters thousands of colorful travertine ponds and flow streams. You will marvel at Huanglong Temple and fabulous Five-color Ponds. After sightseeing in Huanglong, transfer you to your hotel in Jiuzhaigou, near the gate of the scenic spot.

Today, you will have a full day to explore the Jiuzhai Valley. There are 9 Tibetan villages in the valley, so called the name. Its best-known feature is its dozen of blue, green and turquoise-colored lakes. Jiuzhai Valley consists of three valleys – Rize Valley, Shuzheng Valley and Zechawa Valley, forming a shape of "Y". It is said that there is no other place as peaceful as in Jiuzhaigou all over the world.

Huahu Lake of Ruoergai County

The Scripture Hall of Langmusi Temple

After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel, and then drive to Ruoergai County (Zoige County) to visit Ruo’ergai Grand Prairie, which is one of the Top 10 Most Beautiful Wetlands.

Then, keep your journey to Huahu Lake (Flower Lake), the best highlight of Ruo’ergai Grand Prairies. The lake area is also the natural reserve for migratory birds. You can hike around and enjoy the landscap for about two hours. If you visit thre in Summer (from May to July), the best time for visiting Huahu Lake, you can see florid flowers blooming in the lake and many wild birds inhabits there.

After the tour in Ruo’ergai, you will drive northward to the Langmusi Town, where the famous Langmusi Temple located. Built in 1748, the Langmusi Temple is located on the border of Sichuan province and Gansu province, and is divided into two parts. You can go for a walk around the Temple to see the amazing landscape and learn about its history and Tibetan culture.

• Drive about 160km from Jiuzhaigou to Ruoergai County and about 86km from Ruoergai to Langmusi.

Try to get up early to watch the beautiful sunrise at Langmusi Monastery. After breakfast, drive to Tangke to visit the First Bend of Yellow River. Yellow River meets the smaller White River in Tangke, forming a great S-shape before moving north into the great Ordos Loop.

Then, keep driving 60km shouthward to Waqie Town, which is famous for the Pagoda Forest (Talin in Chinese). You could see hundreds of Buddist pagodas gathering around the monastery like a forest, and thousands of prayer flags hang in the air.

Later in the afternoon, you will move on to Hongyuan County. Hongyuan was named after the Red Army marching across the grassland, where you can appreciate the nomadic life of local Tibetans.

• Drive 141km from Langmusi to Tangke, 34km from Tangke to Waqie, and 44 km from Tangke to Hongyuan

The Road to Milayo in Aumtumn

After breakfast, visit the Moon Bay in hongyuan, and then drive to Miyaluo Scenic Spot, which is one of the biggest areas with red leaves.

Then, drive back to Chengdu city.

• Drive 169km from Hongyuan to Miyaluo(about 3 hours), 258 km from Miyaluo to Chengdu(about 4.5 hours).
