Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Chengdu
Upon your arrival at the Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, our tour guide will meet and escort you to your hotel in Chengdu downtown.
After a short break, we will visit Jinsha Site Museum, the relics of the ancient capital of Shu Kingdom. You will learn how people lived in this land 3000 years ago, and see the Gold Band with Sun and Magic Birds. At night, have a delicious dinner of Sichuan cuisine.

Day 2: Chengdu Tour: Qingyang Taoist Palace, Renmin Park, Wuhou Temple and Jinli Street

In the morning, our tour guide & driver will pick you up from your hotel, and drive to visit Qingyang Taoist Palace (also called Qingyang Taoist Temple). The temple got its popular name from the two blue-green goats made of bronze in the Sanqing main Hall in the temple. It has been famous as "No.1 Taoist Temple in Sichuan" and "No.1 Temple in West China", and a famous tourism and sightseeing attraction of Taoist cultural heritage. Then move on to Renmin Park to experience the most authentic Chengdu local life. Having a cup of tea in a traditional teahouse, watching the local old couples dancing. You will enjoy typical leisure lifestyle of Chengdu.
In the afternoon, visit Wuhou Temple, a temple in memory of Zhuge Liang who was the most famous Military strategist in the Three Kingdoms. Surrounded by old cypresses and classical red walls, the temple has an atmosphere of nostalgia. Then visit Jinli Ancient Street, one of the oldest streets to appreciate the local snacks and artifacts. The elegant style of the architectures tells you what Sichuan looks like during the Qing Dynasty.

Day 3: Chengdu Tour: Chengdu Panda Base, Leshan Giant Buddha and Mt. Emei

In the morning, the guide will meet you in your hotel and then we will head to Chengdu Panda Research Center in about half an hour drive.You will catch pandas' feeding time, visit both adult and baby pandas houses and watch them eating fresh bamboo. After visiting Panda Center, we drive to Leshan with about 2 hours.
In Leshan, we visit the biggest sitting Buddha sculpture in the Lingyun Temple. The Giant Buddha was completed in 803 of Tang Dynasty after 90 year's construction and enjoys the fame of the biggest sitting stone sculpture in the world, about 71- meter in height. Tour guide will take you to walk along the path built on the cliff face of the hill from the top of Buddha’s head to his toes, or you can choose taking a sightseeing boat from the pier to the water surface in front of Giant Buddha to watch the huge Buddha from the river.
In late afternoon, continue driving to the foot of Mt. Emei. In the evening, tour guide will take you to the Gourmet Street to enjoy the delicious local food of Leshan.

Day 4: Visit Emei Golden Summit and back to Chengdu by Bullet Train

Morning going up to Leidongping, where you can take cable car to Jinding (Golden Summit) (Cable Car 120RMB not included in package), visit Huazang Temple, and enjoy the magnificent view of the clouds, mountains, forest. If weather is good, you will have chance to see clouds sea. Then go down to mid-hill scenic zone, you will have a trek along the path to visit Wannian Temple, Qingyin Pavilion, Moneky Zone, etc, finally walk down hill to Wuxiangang bus station, from here you take tourist bus to go downhill.
In late afternoon, take Bullet Train back to Chengdu within only 1.5 hours.

Day 5: Chengdu to Xi’an: Terracotta Warriors and Ancient City Walls

After breakfast in your hotel, you will take high-speed train from Chengdu to Xi’an about 4 hours. Upon your arrival, our local tour guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. After that, you will pay a visit the incredible Terracotta Warriors, a significant archaeological discovery in the 20th century known for its grand scale and vivid terracotta statues.
In the afternoon, heads for the Ancient City Walls, the largest and best-kept city walls on earth. Today’s trip will ends at the Bell Tower from the outside.

Day 6: Xi’an to Beijing: Muslim Community and Big Wild Goose Pagoda

After breakfast, you will visit the Great Mosque in Xian, a tranquil and historic mosque. Stop by the Muslim Community by the way. Then head for the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists.
After lunch, you will be transferred to take a high speed train to Beijing. Upon your arrival at the Beijing West Railway Station, our tour guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel in Beijing. The rest of the day is for you to relax.

Day 7: Beijing Tour: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace

Today’s tour begins with the exploration of Tiananmen Square after breakfast. Tiananmen Square is located in the center of Beijing city, also the biggest city square in the world. It’s on the gate tower of the square that Chinese Chairman Mao Zedong declared the foundation of People's Republic of China.
When you move forward and pass through several doorways under the gate tower of Tiananmen Square, magnificent Forbidden City will bump into your eyes. Forbidden City is the best preserved imperial palace in China and the largest ancient palatial structure in the world. It has more than 9,000 rooms where 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties have lived. The splendid architecture of the Forbidden City represents the essence and culmination of traditional Chinese architectural accomplishment.
After lunch, you’ll have a short break and then drive to Summer Palace lying in the outskirts of Beijing. This is the largest royal garden in the world built in the grandeur. In the ancient time, it mainly served imperial royals in Qing Dyansty to spend summer and enjoy leisure times. Built with exquisite layout and amazing architectural technique, the beauty of the Palace is overwhelming and is sure to impress anyone. The palace takes an area of 290 hectares and comprises diversified buildings, you are about to spend 4 hours in it.
When you finished your day tour, you have optional choices of your night activities according your interests: 1) Watch the Chinese traditional Kungfu Show in the Red Theater (from 19:30 to 20:40). 2) Boat on Kunming Lake, the major lake of Summer Palace, to cruise around and enjoy the pleasant night scenery.

Day 8: Beijing Tour: Mutianyu Great Wall

In the morning after breakfast, we will drive to the suburb of Beijing to witness the grand world architectural wonder - Great Wall. Great Wall proves that China was one of the strongest countries in its history. Stretching thousands of kilometers, the Great Wall protected the ancient Chinese against the invasion of the enemy from its north side for more than 1000 years. The Great Wall was listed as one of the world's eight wonders. Mutianyu Great Wall, featured “graceful”, enjoy the best quality among all Wall sections, 80km north-east of Beijing with 22 ancient watchtowers, about one every kilometer. (Cable car is optional if you do not want to walk)
You’ll take a cable car to ascend the Great Wall, then hike the most beautiful and interesting part of Mutianyu, which usually impresses tourists by its spectacular natural scenery and abundant vegetation. After the exciting tour, descend Mutianyu Great Wall by cable cars and drive back to hotel to end the pleasant day.

Day 9: Beijing Departure
After the breakfast, bid farewell to Beijing, you will step on the plane for your flight home.
