Day 1: Chengdu Arrival

Welcome to Chengdu, the vibrant capital of Sichuan and the hometown of the famous giant panda.
Upon arrival, your local guide will meet you at the airport or train station and transfer you to your hotel by private vehicle.
The rest of the day is free for you to relax and explore Chengdu at your own pace. You can take a gentle walk through the city, enjoy the relaxed local lifestyle, or try some authentic Sichuan cuisine.
If you have time in the evening, we recommend visiting the lively Jiuyanqiao area, where you can enjoy the beautiful night views of Anshun Bridge and experience Chengdu’s unique nightlife atmosphere.
Day 2: Chengdu Panda and City Exploration (B)

After breakfast, begin your Chengdu exploration with a visit to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, one of the best places in China to see giant pandas. Stroll along the peaceful bamboo-lined paths and watch these adorable animals as they eat bamboo, play, climb trees, and relax in their natural-style habitats.
You will also have the chance to visit the panda nursery and learn more about panda conservation at the Panda Museum. If you are lucky, you may even see young panda cubs during your visit.
In the afternoon, experience Chengdu’s famous slow-paced lifestyle at People's Park. Sit down in a traditional teahouse, enjoy a cup of tea, and watch locals chatting, playing mahjong, or enjoying various leisure activities.
Later, visit Jinli Old Street, one of Chengdu’s most famous historic streets. Wander through the lively lanes filled with local snacks, traditional crafts, and charming old-style buildings.
In the evening, you can choose to enjoy an authentic Sichuan hotpot dinner or watch a traditional Sichuan Opera performance featuring famous face-changing and other local arts.
Day 3: Chengdu to Mount Emei via Leshan Giant Buddha (B)

After breakfast, leave Chengdu and travel to Leshan City, home to the world-famous Leshan Giant Buddha. The journey takes around 2 hours, offering views of the countryside and landscapes of Sichuan along the way.
Visit the Leshan Giant Buddha, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of China’s most impressive ancient monuments. Standing beside the river for over a thousand years, this enormous stone statue showcases the remarkable craftsmanship and Buddhist culture of ancient Sichuan.
During your visit, you can walk along the mountain paths to admire the Giant Buddha from different angles, and take a relaxing boat cruise for a panoramic view of this magnificent riverside landmark.
After sightseeing, take some time to explore Leshan’s local food culture. Stroll through the streets and try some famous Sichuan snacks, such as Leshan sweet-skin duck, tofu pudding, Shaomai, and other local specialties.
Later, continue to the area near Mount Emei and check in to your hotel, preparing for tomorrow’s exploration of one of China’s most sacred Buddhist mountains.

Day 4: Explore Mount Emei - The Sacred Buddhist Mountain (B)

Today, spend a full day exploring Mount Emei, one of China’s most famous Buddhist mountains and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Take the sightseeing bus and cable car up the mountain to reach the higher areas, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, forests, and sea of clouds (weather permitting). At the Golden Summit, admire the impressive golden statue of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, one of the most iconic landmarks of Mount Emei.
Along the way, discover the peaceful atmosphere of this sacred mountain, with ancient temples, beautiful natural scenery, and a unique blend of Buddhist culture and mountain landscapes.
After the visit, return to Chengdu and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 5: Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou via Huanglong Scenic Area (B)

After breakfast, your guide and driver will accompany you to Chengdu Railway Station, where you will take a comfortable high-speed train to Huanglong Jiuzhai Railway Station. Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic transfer to a local restaurant for lunch before starting your Huanglong adventure.
Located near Jiuzhaigou Valley, Huanglong National Park is famous for its stunning highland landscapes, colorful travertine pools, snow-capped mountains, forests, and peaceful valleys. The highlight of your visit is the beautiful Five-Color Ponds (Wucai Chi), where natural pools create a magical landscape surrounded by mountains.
To make your visit more comfortable, take the cable car up the mountain and walk down along the wooden boardwalks at your own pace. This route allows you to enjoy the scenery while saving energy at Huanglong’s higher altitude.
After exploring Huanglong, continue to Jiuzhaigou Valley and check in to your hotel near the entrance of the scenic area. Rest and prepare for tomorrow’s full-day exploration of this natural wonder.
Day 6: Jiuzhaigou Valley Full-Day Exploration (The Fairyland) (B)

After breakfast, begin your full-day adventure in Jiuzhaigou Valley, one of China’s most breathtaking natural wonders. Your guide will accompany you into the park and help you explore its stunning landscapes by the convenient sightseeing buses.
Hidden among the mountains of northern Sichuan, Jiuzhaigou is famous for its crystal-clear lakes, colorful forests, spectacular waterfalls, and peaceful Tibetan villages. The turquoise waters change colors with the seasons, creating a magical landscape that feels like a natural fairyland.
During the day, you will explore Jiuzhaigou’s three main valleys: Rize Valley, Zechawa Valley, and Shuzheng Valley. Visit some of the valley’s most beautiful viewpoints, such as Five-Color Pond, Long Lake, Five Flower Lake, Panda Lake, Pearl Shoal Waterfall, and Shuzheng Waterfall.

Outdoor equipment: sleeping bag (-15 degrees), backpack (60 liters or so, with rain cover, the best weight is not more than 20kg), climbing sticks, hiking shoes, jackets (waterproof clothing), warm clothing, hiking snow gaiters, cotton socks, snow goggles (general sunglasses can be), headlights (torch) and spare batteries, insulation cup, personal daily necessities, personal special supplies, garbage bags and so on.
Personal food: Due to long journey in the plateau area, please bring high-calorie food to add strength and energy, such as chocolate, beef jerky, compressed biscuits, vitamins and so on.
Itinerary Alteration
Once we receive your tour deposit, which is followed by signing the contract, your reservation is secured with legitimacy. Our staff will reserve the accommodation, vehicle, site tickets, meals and more, and pay the deposit for our suppliers. So if you want to alter to another itinerary, you need to cover the deposit we've paid, while no service charge is needed if you make some changes on the itinerary you booked.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
If you cancel the tour beacuse of your personal issues, you will be liable to pay cancellation charges that are bounded by 3rdpoletour.com cancellation policy as follows:
1.) If you cancel the tour more than 30 days before the trip starts, you will forfeit 10% of the total land cost per person;
2.) If you cancel the tour 15-30 days prior to your trip start date, 20% of your total land tour cost will be forfeited as a cancellation fee.
3.) If you cancel the tour 7-15 days before the trip starts, you will forfeit 30% of land cost.
4.) If you cancel the tour 7 days prior to your tour start date, you will forfeit 50% of land cost.
5.) If you fail to show up or cancel at your scheduled arrival time without prior notice or later than that, you will forfeit 100% of the land cost.
If the tour has to be cancelled because of the natural disaster or the government restrictions that is beyond both parties control, we will charge only USD50 per person, this is just the service fee and larbor fee during the preparation. This is a rare occurrence!
