Sanxingdui Museum

Today after breakfast, we will firstly pay a visit to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (known as Chengdu Panda Base), where we can explore the daily life of the cute pandas and get close to the lovely creatures.

In the afternoon, visit the Sanxingdui Museum, which is the ruins of the capital of the ancient Shu Kingdom over 4,000 years ago and is located in Guanghan City. The cultural relics at Sanxingdui are precious cultural heritage of mankind, which contain rich historical, cultural and scientific value, and bespeak themselves as the most attractive ones amongst the multitude of the spectacular relics in China. The discovery of Sanxingdui predates 2,000 years of Sichuan's history and proves that the upper reaches of the Yangtze and the Yellow River region are the cradle of the Chinese civilization.

After tour, be transferred back to your hotel in Chengdu downtown.

After breakfast, we will drive to Sichuan Museum, where you can have a knowledge of Chengdu history and culture. The museum is divided into a few levels from ancient Chinese history to modern World War II struggle against the Japanese and has a number of nice exhibit spread over three floors. Not only a history museum, but also a cultural museum.

In the afternoon, we will visit Renmin Park to experience the most authentic Chengdu local life. Having a cup of tea in a traditional teahouse, watching the local old couples dancing. You will enjoy typical leisure lifestyle of Chengdu. Then move on to Jinli Ancient Street, one of the oldest streets to appreciate the local snacks and artifacts. The elegant style of the architectures tells you what Sichuan looks like during the Qing Dynasty.

Wenshu Temple

Dufu Thatched Cottage

Today, we will visit Wenshu Temple first, which is an ancient Buddhist monastery of Qing Dynasty in Chengdu downtown. Here you can see many people bowing, praying and lighting incense sticks.

After lunch, we will visit the Dufu Thatched Cottage, a museum in honor of Dufu (712 - 770 AD), who was the greatest realist poet and has been famed as the Sage of Poetry. Then we will transfer you to the airport/ train station for your next destination.
