Overview

This 12-day tour features interesting and enjoyable panda experience in Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, and it also includes the famous sites in other popular tourist destination in China, including Shanghai, Guilin, Xian and Beijing.

It starts from the most modern city in China, Shanghai with the Yuyuan, the Bund and the Jinmao Tower. Then, you will get to Guilin to enjoy the breathtaking views along the Li River and the Longji Rice Terraces. The Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base is the highlight of this tour. You will get a chance to get close the these lovely creatures and know their daily life. After that, heads to Xian, an ancient city in China boasting the famous Terracotta Warriors and the Ancient City Wall. Beijing is the ending destination of this tour where you will be marveled at Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven and the Great Wall.

Day 1: Shanghai Arrival

Upon your arrival at the Shanghai International Airport, our tour guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel in Shanghai downtown. The rest of the day is for you to relax or to have a walk on the street of the most cosmopolitan city in China.

Day 2: Shanghai Tour: Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center, Yu Garden, Old French Concession, the Bund and Nanjing Road

Today, your tour starts at the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center where you can witness Shanghai’s past, present and future. The take a stroll through the elegant Yu Garden and the busy Yuyuan Market. Drop by a silk workshop by the way.

In the afternoon, you can pay a visit to the Old French Concession where locates many beautiful old villas of French style and have a better understanding about the past of Shanghai. Then, walk down the Bund along the Huangpu River and visit the Nanjing Road.

Day 3: Shanghai Tour: Jinmao Tower, Shanghai People’s Square, Tianzifang and Fly to Guilin

After your breakfast at your hotel, you will drive to Jinmao Tower and climb up the top of Jinmao Tower to have a bird’s view of Pudong New District. Then walk to the Shanghai People’s Square to see the daily life of Shanghai. After that, continue to visit Tianzifang, an artsy area housing bars, cafes, crafts shops, design studios, galleries and boutiques.

Then you will be escorted to the airport and take the flight to Guilin. Upon your arrival at the Guilin Airport, our tour guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel in Guilin. The rest of the day is for you to relax or to have a walk on the street of this dynamic city.

Day 4: Guilin - Longsheng: Longji Rice Terraces

Located about 90 kilometers northwest to Guilin City, Longsheng Autonomous County is home to many different ethnic minority groups, such as Zhuang, Yao, Miao, Dong and etc. There you will see the famous magnificent Longji Rice Terraces. Then drive back to Guilin city.

Day 5: Guilin - Yangshuo: Li River Cruise, West Street

After breakfast, head for the Zhujiang Pier to start your Li River Cruise to Yangshuo County. Along the natural gallery of the river, you will be impressed by the breathtaking views of peaks and pinnacles, crystal-clear water and reflections in the water together with the serene pastoral views of rice paddies and water buffaloes.

After about 4 hours cruise, you will arrive at the Yangshuo. Then explore the famous West Street. After that, drive back to Guilin.

Day 6: Guilin Tour: Elephant Trunk Hill, Reed Flute Cave and Fly to Chengdu

Today, you will have your full day to explore the essential Guilin. First, you will pay a visit the the Elephant Trunk Hill, the symbol of Guilin. Then head for the fabulous Reed Flute Cave to see the beautiful stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, and stone flowers with various shapes.

After the tour, you will be escorted to the airport and take the flight to Chengdu. Upon your arrival at the Chengdu Airport, our tour guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel in Chengdu.

Day 7: Chengdu Tour: Chengdu Panda Base, Dufu Thatched Cottage

On this day, you will firstly pay a visit to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (known as Chengdu Panda Base), where we can explore the daily life of the cute pandas and get close to take photos with the lovely creatures. Then move on to Dufu Thatched Cottage, a museum in honor of Dufu (712 -770 AD), who was the greatest realist poet and has been famed as the Sage of Poetry. Taking a quite walk in the historical cultural environment, you seem to be brought back to Chinese ancient time.

Day 8: Fly from Chengdu to Xian and Visit Terracotta Warriors, Ancient City Walls

After breakfast in your hotel, you will be transferred to Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport for your flight to Xian. Upon your arrival, our local tour guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. After that, you will pay a visit the the incredible Terracotta Warriors, a significant archaeological discovery in the 20th century known for its grand scale and vivid terracotta statues.

In the afternoon, heads for the Ancient City Walls, the largest and best-kept city walls on earth. Today’s trip will ends at the Bell Tower from the outside.

Day 9: Xian Tour: Great Mosque, Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Fly to Beijing

After breakfast, you will visit the Great Mosque in Xian, a tranquil and historic mosque. Stop by the Muslim Community by the way. The head for the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists.

After lunch, you will be transferred to Xian Airport for your flight to Beijing. Upon your arrival at the Beijing Airport, our tour guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel in Beijing. The rest of the day is for you to relax or to have a walk on the street.

Day 10: Beijing Tour: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven

After breakfast, you will be picked up to visit the Tiananmen Square. Walking through the Tiananmen Gate, you will enter the splendid Forbidden City, China's No.1 palace complex adorned with imperial treasures.

After lunch, you will visit the Temple of Heaven, a sacred place where the royal held rituals to pray for good harvest and prosperity.

Day 11: Beijing Tour: Mutianyu Great Wall, Ming Imperial Tombs

In the early morning, you will drive to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall, the key symbol of China. You can hiking the Great wall or take a cable car to enjoy the breathtaking views of this man-made wonder.

After the Great Wall Tour, take a a leisurely stroll along the tranquil Sacred Road to explore the Ming Imperial Tombs.

Day 12: Beijing Tour: Summer Palace and Depart

In the morning, you will visit the fabulous Summer Palace, which is the largest and best-preserved imperial garden in China.
