The Best Way to Travel from Jiuzhaigou to Huanglong

Jiuzhaigou Valley National Park is 130km away from Huanglong Park, so it is best to visit these two scenic spots at once. The most convenient and affordable way to get to Huanglong from Jiuzhaigou is taking a bus. Chartered bus is also available, and it will take tourists around 400 RMB per car. It will be a good choice if you travel together with more than 3 persons.

There are several regular buses stared from Jiuzhaigou every morning, and each person is charged 42 RMB, including 2 RMB of insurance. A limited service is operating on Jiuzhaigou-Huanglong line, and only 2 or 3 classes are available every morning. Generally speaking, the buses will be set out at 6:30am or 7:00am. If in peak season, an extra bus will be ordered at 7:30am. Tourists need to book the tickets on line or at least two days in advance in the bus station next to Jiutong Hotel, which is also the starting point of the bus. The buses will set out when it is full seated. The bus driving is about 2 hours and a half, and it arrives at Huanglong at 10:00am. The carry-on luggage could be checked on the bus, because one day trip is enough to visit Huanglong, so that you need to return Jiuzhaigou by the same bus.

The visiting of Huanglong will take tourists about four to five hours. Tourists should arrange a gathering time for the return trip, and generally it will be 3:00pm or 3:30pm. The diver won’t set out until he makes sure that no one is absent. The External Traffic of Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong

There is an hour and a half driving, 88km from Jiuzhai Huanglong airport to Jiuzhaigou National Park. Outside the airport, you can take private car driven by local Tibetan drivers, which price is about 150 RMB. Others choices like chartered car and airport bus are also good ways to arriving at Jiuzhaigou. The airport tour bus will cost 45 RMB for one-way trip and 80 RMB for round-trip.
