Please note:
During the off-peak season, tourists can the second day entry ticket that costs extra RMB 20. It must be purchased at the same time as the first day’s ticket. That means, it is only valid for two consecutive days in the slack season.

Best Time to Go
The best time to visit Jiuzhaigou is from September to October, during which everything puts on autumn colors. With white clouds floating by and gentle breeze blowing through, reds and yellows go well with clear blue lakes, presenting you intoxicating picturesque scenery of Jiuzhaigou. That’s why autumn is the peak season for visiting Jiuzhaigou, so the cost rises a lot during this period and the park is usually crowded.

To enjoy a peaceful time in Jiuzhaigou valley, winter is the best time to go. The whole park will go into a silver world from mid-November to mid March. Fewer tourists in the park and the entrance fee and the accommodations are much cheaper than that in peak season.
In spring, the snow and ice are melting. Everything turn into life, you could see the world full of engery.
In summer (June-August), everywhere is green in Jiuzhaigou Valley. The green mountains, the green forests, the green water…Jiuzhaigo park in summer is a cool place for you to escape from the heat and enjoy the fresh air in the great nature.
Get to Jiuzhaigou National Park from Chengdu
Located on the border of northern Sichuan province, Jiuzhaigou National Park is about 430 km northern to Chengdu city. As the most popular gateway to get to Jiuzhaigou, Chengdu offers the most frequent daily flights to Jiuhuang Airport. You can also choose to get to Jiuzhaigou from Chengdu by land. It takes about 8 to 10 hours from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou via Dujiangyan, Wenchuan and Songpan.
Get to Jiuzhaigou National Park from Jiuhuang Airport
Jiuzhaigou Huanglong Airport (Jiuhuang Airport), located 88 kms' away from the national park, offers flights to/from Chengdu, Beijing and some other major cities. After landing at the airport, you can take a taxi or a shuttle bus from Jiuhuang Airport to Jiuzhaigou National Park.

To get to Jiuzhaigou National Park from the airport takes about 200RMB by taxi.
By Shuttle bus
Jiuzhaigou National Park is 88 km away from Jiuhuang Airport. The one-way ticket is 45 RMB and the round trip is 80RMB. It takes about 1.5 hours from the airport to the national park by the shuttle bus.

Generally speaking, one day is enough to visit all the essential parts of Jiuzhaigou National Park. Covering an area of more than 600 square kilometers, Jiuzhaigou National Park consists of three major valleys, namely Shuzheng Valley, Rize Valley and Zechawa Valley. There are eco-shuttle buses serving in the park, which drive cycling among the three valleys and other main attractions.

Recommended Travel Route to Jiuzhaigou National Park
Most tourists start their trip to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong from Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan province. The general land trip from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou takes about 5 days. And if you choose to visit Jiuzhaigou from Chengdy by air, you need to have 3 days at least.
