Where to Eat in Jiuzhaigou
Nuorilang Restaurant inside Jiuzhaigou National Park
When you take a day trip inside Jiuzhaigou National Park, the restaurant in Nuorilang Tourism Service center is the only place offers hot meals in the park. Located 300 meters away from Nuorilang Waterfall, the restaurant provides buffet, set meals, snacks and fast food. Only Chinese dishes are offered there.
The buffet, almost Chinese dishes, is available with prices of RMB 60, RMB 98 and RMB 198 for different levels.
You can also bring your own food or instant noodles with you. It is easy to get hot water in the service center.

Local Restaurants in Jiuzhaigou Town
Outside the national park, there are some local restaurants in the town, where you can have your dinner after your day tour. You can taste authentic local Tibetan food there, like buttered tea and yak meat. But the strong flavor of Tibetan food may not please everyone. And most of the dishes are from the taste of Sichuan.

What to Eat in Jiuzhaigou
The Chinese dishes of Sichuan flavor is the most common food you could find in Jiuzhaigou. And also local Tibetan snacks and dishes can be ordered in most restaurants, such as Yak meat, Zanba, butter tea, etc.
The vegetarian options are limited in Jiuzhaigou, because the local people prefer to eat meat rather than vegetable for energy and keeping warm. But you can find vegetarian dishes at some restaurant.
If you do not get used to Chinese food, it is suggested to bring your own food when visiting the national park in Jiuzhaigou, for only Chinese dishes are offered in the service center.

Zanba is a staple food of Tibetans which will be taken wherever they go. It is mainly made by barley flour, pea and oat powder and served with butter tea which will taste crisp and appetizing.

It is simple to prepare. Stir the butter, milk, walnut kernel, peanut and sesame, egg and salt in a barrel, and then mix them with boiled red tea for a just moment. Then the butter tea is ready to serve. In order to drink it whenever, Tibetan people are always keep the butter tea in a teapot to warm on a stove.
