Dali Dining
In the downtown Dali, there are numerous restaurants offering delicious local dishes for tourists. Dali cuisine is famous for the food of Bai and other minorities. The most famous dishes including Dairy Fans, Er Kuai, Xizhou Ba Ba, Liangji Rice Noodles, Three-course Tea and so on.
Dairy Fan (Rushan)
Daily Dan in Dali is a famous snack among local people and tourists with much fat and high nutrition value. It is made of the milk produced by local cows. People steam and boil it to make it shaping like a cute fan.
Er Kuai
Dali Er Kuai is a rice-based food shaping like ear pieces. The rice is first washed, soaked, stewed and then mashed into a paste. Then stir-fried with vegetables, spice ingredients, fiery sauce of dried red chill and salt.
Carved Plum
Dali plums are very delicious and the carved plums also tastes good. It is a traditional featured food of Bai people. They carve patterns on the plum which is the name of the carved plum.
Three-course Tea
The Three-course tea is a kind of drink to pay thanks to the guests who attending the marriage or other ceremonies. It is reputed for “bitter tea”, “sweet tea” and “final tea” which are regarded as part of a philosophy on life.
