Huanglongxi Ancient Town

In the morning, our tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel, and drive to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (also known as Chengdu Panda Base) which is the best possible environment for rearing and breeding. Here, you can explore the daily life of the cute pandas, and see them eating bamboo at their active time (from 9 o’clock to 11 o’clock).

In the afternoon, you will visit Huanglongxi Ancient Town, which is the largest ancient town in Sichuan Provence. It is greatly admired by visitors all over the world for its beautiful natural scenery and ancient Chinese culture.

Here, you can enjoy orderly aligned old porches and pillars of the ancient blocks, explore the ancient temples, like Gulong Temple, Zhenjiang Temple and Chaoyin Temple in Huanglongxi Ancient Town, visit the Cheng’s Watermill, etc. Besides, the 6 over 1000-year-old banyans bring much pleasure and a sense of vicissitudes to Huanglongxi with its twisted roots and gnarled branches. What’s more, this ancient town was the Home of Tea and the Ancient Tea Horse Road in the ancient times on account of its long experience of growing tea.
